I had just cobbled together a bedroom stereo rig of 12V power supply, old tube car radio (warm sound), and makeshift speakers. While testing it, I heard Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" for the first time—likely the day it dropped locally. I was agog, captivated, entranced, electrified. I cranked it. Whole-body shivers and hair standing up. Vivid memory.
Added 2023-08-30 from documentary Love To Love You—Elton John said, "I remember when 'I Feel Love' came on at Studio 54. You just stopped in your tracks. 'What is this?' People screamed. It just went on and on and on and you didn't want it to stop. It sounded like no other record. It changed the way people thought about music."
