Appropriate Degree

• Approach every situation with curiosity and alacrity
• Apply an appropriate degree of vigilance, flexibility, and confidence
• Be bold without hubris; explore, while conscious of one's purview
• Remember there is no obligation to engage, and
• Non-action (wu-wei, going with the flow) is often better than action (intervention)
• However, when action is the correct response do it with grace and complete attention
• If necessary to continue, do it sustainably
